Waypoint

One warm introduction at a time.

Waypoint finds jobs on company career boards, checks how well you fit each one, finds a person who can refer you, and builds a CV for that role. It is a small app for invited users. It runs on a Raspberry Pi in my home.

You need an account to sign in. If the link does not open, the Pi is off for a short time. Try again later.

How it works

  1. Find the jobs

Waypoint reads the public career boards of companies (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and others) in the countries that you choose. You can also paste a link to one job.

  2. Check the fit

Claude reads each posting and compares it with your profile. You see each requirement as met, partial or missing, the proof from your profile, and hard blockers such as a visa or a language. Waypoint also marks postings that look like spam.

  3. Find your way in

Waypoint looks for a first-degree LinkedIn connection at the company, or for alumni of your school. It writes a short referral message for you to copy.

  4. Send a CV for the role

Waypoint builds a one-page CV in LaTeX that leads with your most relevant work. You can ask Claude to change the order, and you see the PDF at once.

What it does not do

Before you ask

Invite only

I make each account by hand, for friends and people I know. The app is free, and it has no ads.

Claude

The Claude parts use your own Anthropic API key, which you add in Settings. Without a key, Waypoint still lists jobs and estimates your fit.

Your data

Your profile and files stay in the database on the Pi. In Settings, you can download your profile as a claims.yml file, or delete your account and all its data. See the privacy policy.

Phones and tablets

Waypoint works in Safari and Chrome on a phone, a tablet and a computer. You can add it to your home screen.

Ask for an invite

Fill in the form. Your mail app opens with a message to me. Press Send there. I reply with an invite link.

Your mail app has the request. Press Send there. If no mail app opened, write to shivoy1183@gmail.com.
